Foundation Mission & Core Values

The Oklahoma City Fire Department is recognized as one of the nation’s premier fire services, with its men and women delivering the highest quality fire and emergency response while giving back to the community they serve. The OKC Firefighters Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is dedicated to improving the health, safety, and welfare of OKC firefighters—both active and retired—and supporting their families. Through educational programs and a holistic approach to wellness, the Foundation addresses the unique challenges these firefighters face, from financial literacy and mental health to physical well-being and more. Our mission is to empower and equip our firefighters to exceed the Oklahoma City Standard that our community values, recognizing their consistent commitment to putting the needs of others before their own. By providing resources and support beyond the frontlines, we aim to alleviate the uncertainties our firefighters face, ensuring they have the stability and care they need while protecting our great city.
